Mortised Latches
Door latches come in two main configurations; a drive in tubular latch, or a latch with attached mortise plate.
A latch with an attached mortise plate is more time consuming to install, but is more secure as it holds the latch securely with screws. Drive-in latches relying on the snug friction fit of the latch in the borehole of the door, and tend to loosen over time.
All Huntington Homes interior doors have mortised latch plates (versus "drive-in" latches).
